Our story
Hanea Software Distribution GmbH was founded in 1998 as a specialist intermediary between international software publishers and the German reseller channel. In an era of shrink-wrapped media, our founders saw that resellers needed more than a logistics partner - they needed a distributor who understood licensing.
Today that conviction still defines us. As software moved from boxes to volume agreements and then to cloud subscriptions, we evolved our platform and our advisory services in step. We remain independent and owner-managed, which lets us put long-term partner relationships ahead of short-term volume.
From our base in central Hamburg, we now serve more than 4,200 active partners across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
